Amelogenesis Imperfecta

Amelogenesis Imperfecta characterizes isolated defects of the enamel resulting exclusively from genetic factors, which affect both primary and permanent dentitions. It has been suggested that the anomaly results from a defect in the enamel matrix proteins. It is mainly classified into four types according to clinical features and mode of inheritance.
